Description

Chia seeds (Salvia hispanica) originated in South America and were a staple in the diets of ancient Mayans and Aztecs. They are extremely high in Omega 3 and are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They can be eaten right out of the bag, sprinkled on hot cereal and used in baking, for a nutritional boost comparable only to flaxseed in Omega 3 and dietary fiber content.

I've purchased several lots of chia seeds from Nuts In Bulk. Very good quality, well packaged, fair price. However, I do suggest shipping become a "pass-through" item. $15 to ship a 10 pound box is high.

It is difficult to rate something with long term benefits after two weeks use. The purchase and shipping was flawless, I am very happy with that. It is my first time using chia seeds, there is no comparison or judgement I could make about the seeds. Perhaps after longer time I will be able to rate the benefits of chia seeds.

I bought the 4lb bag of chia seeds. They arrived in a thick resealable bag and were excellent quality. I use 2 tablespoons of these seeds daily, so I was extremely excited to find such a wonderful supplier.

My first order from Nuts In Bulk and a very positive experience. The order arrived promptly and the quality was excellent. I have been using Chia Seeds for some time and it really works! Diet and exercise will save you from a life of medications. My kids say it gives them energy too.

To make the egg replacement, mix 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water and let sit for 15 minutes.

  • It act as a mood stabilizer and provides energy. It's high in Omega 3 fatty acids as well as other needed nutrients and it is easy to incorporate into your diet.
Cons
  • It isn't as cheap as Flax Seed but it's worth it. Nuts in Bulk has the lowest prices I have seen so far. By the 10 lb box and get lower prices and lower the shipping cost per Lb.

I had seen many articles about the chia seed and it's many health benefits. I decided to try some I found a small bag locally and went thru it so fast I decided to look for it in bulk. I sprinkle it on my breakfast cereal or oatmeal in the morning, mix it with peanut butter, tuna salad or chicken salad for lunch and sprinkle it on my dinner. I even add it to my ice tea. You can pretty much add it to anything, however, you must start adding them slowly to your diet. I am feeling so much better and actually loosing some weight.

I received my order (25 lb. of chia seeds) quickly and everything was fine. The only thing I might say would be an improvement is if the seeds had been packaged in a few smaller bags/containers, as opposed to being all in one big plastic bag. Other than that, I am satisfied with this order.

I first tried organic chia seeds from another company. They were good and the price was right.

Having bought other item from "Superior" I thought I'd give you a try. Glad I did, I liked the quality a bit better and the cost was even more favorable. All in all, I'll definitly be purchasing my chia from "Superior" in the future. By the way, I chose to order the 4lb. bag for even more savings.
