I use sunflower seeds as a substitute for nuts in a lot of receipts. They add a similar texture and flavor for a fraction of the price. They're also a good source of many vitamins and minerals. I have recently given up processed sugar and white flour and now eat a little red meat, chicken, turkey and pork and more coldwater fish for protein. I have purchased large quantities of sunflower seeds from various sources and found these to be the best. I dry roast them for a more healthy snack and have found that sunflower seeds can vary widely. Some sources had very uniform, rounded kernels which stay soft and never get the satisfying crunch that these do. These are long and pointy, so be careful when you munch on them. The crunch, and flavor are perfect, though, and I'm glad to have an organic variety available.

Having my diet a bit different from the rest of society, being a Vegan and on the Warrior Diet, I have been in need for seeds as part of my daily routine. After having checked stores with no luck and even having to buy sunflower seeds that are roasted and salted, I have came to the conclusion that these are the best, cheapest, Organic Sunflower Seeds that I have ever seen. The price is Halved and the quality Doubled. Like all seeds, these are tough to digest when eaten in large amounts, ( 1+ cups with your meal ), so I found, after a few nights of consumption, that it is much better to boil them on the stove in hot water before eating them. It softens them up a bit, warms them, and makes it much more enjoyable and easy to digest. It only takes about 5 minutes and your digestive system will thank you for it. And if you are worried about losing nutrition when boiling, just use a very small amount of water like I do. Or use the excess water to boil your rice, cook your oats, etc. Buy this item.
