Raw Oregon Hazelnuts

These are just delicious, I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a very gentle flavored raw nut. Has many uses, but I just nibble on 'em or toss them as they are in my cereal or granola.

Good sized, tasty, fresh, and delicious hazelnuts! Only thing that could have made them better is if they were organic. So far, in a 10# bag, there has been only 2 discolored ones!

The bags arrived in nicely sealed plastic bags. They tasted fresh and had a nice crunch. The hazelnuts were whole, no half or chopped pieces. Great buy!

These are fresh and large and inexpensive. I'll be buying these regularly from now on. We like to toast them (20 minutes at 350), but they are also very good raw.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, but finding a bulk supplier that sells Oregon Hazelnuts at a reasonable price is a challenge. Nuts in Bulk meets that need. I worry when I order online that I'll get something other than fresh, flavorful nuts. So many suppliers keep their stock too long or store it in less than optimal conditions that the oil in the nuts starts to turn rancid and bitter.
I am pleased to find that the nuts I ordered are sweet and delicious. I use hazelnuts for pesto and for fruitcakes at Christmas. Nuts in Bulk will be my go-to for that.

This order arrived in a timely manner, and the hazelnuts are hands down the best I have ever had.

These hazelnuts are very big and fresh. There is a personal preference problem. I eat them after roasting them in the toaster oven in small batches. I know that hazelnuts' inherent sweetness comes out after roasting. These hazelnuts become much sweeter than other hazelnuts I have ordered in bulk online and since I am not eating anything sweet anymore I should either put up with the extra sweetness or continue my search for the best hazelnuts sold in bulk for me. Moreover, although I appreciate their big uniform size, it makes me wonder if they are very far from being organic (I know that the product is not claiming to be organic). Naturally grown products and nuts are normally not very uniform and big.

I ordered 2 lbs of raw hazelnuts for a Christmas cookie recipe.
They arrived on time and were fresh.
I started ordering from Nuts in Bulk 2 years ago when I purchased $25 of hazelnuts from a local grocery store, made the
cookies, tasted them once baked, and realized the nuts had "turned".
Yes, there is the small added expense of shipping, but it is worth it - knowing the hazelnuts are fresh.
This site is great is you need bulk quantities or nuts that are not typically carried by your local markets.

My first order of raw Oregon hazelnuts (a 1-lb. bag) arrived within a few days, without any problem, and the nuts were delicious, so delicious that I decided to order two more 1-lb. bags of the raw Oregon hazelnuts. Unfortunately, when the new order arrived, three days later, I saw that the company had shipped me raw hazelnuts from Turkey, instead of raw hazelnuts from Oregon. Inside the box, on the receipt, was a description of my order and I had definitely ordered the right thing, but someone in the warehouse had made a mistake in packing up my shipment. I had to speak to three different people about the matter (when I first called, on a Saturday, I was told I'd have to call back on Monday), and that was a bit of a pain in the neck; but they shipped out my correct order (very quickly) along with a return mailing label so that I could return the Turkish hazelnuts (which, in my opinion, did not look like high quality nuts). I'm still enjoying my second order of raw Oregon hazelnuts. I would have given these nuts (and the company) a five-star rating, but it wasn't a fun experience dealing with returning the incorrect order (of Turkish hazelnuts), so I'm giving them a five-star rating. I can only hope that shipping out the wrong nuts is a rare occurrence for them.

I found these nuts to be hard to chew because of the thick skin around the nut. All of them had this thick skin and it really took away from the flavor and enjoyment.

I actually didn't try any of the nuts from this order but have done so with the previous orders. The nuts look good and smell wonderful. I ordered them for the squirrels, and judging from their eagerness to get to them every morning, the squirrels would rate them highly.

Delivered quick and in great shape. I buy them 10 pounds at a time an vacuum seal most of them and open as I need them. Works great and the last bag is as good as the first.

Great prices, better sizes and real fast shipping. But when you open your box of nuts, and then the bag you find you have gotten some of the best tasting and freshest nuts you could have gotten.
