Ordering on-line was easy. the order came within 4-5 days. We use the peanuts to grind our own peanut butter. The peanuts I ordered were slightly more expensive than at my local coop, but my coop is not selling in bulk during COVID-19. 10 pounds of peanuts should last us into the fall. So we will probably order again.

Great peanuts - but very different from the peanut stock nuts

I make peanut butter every week. For the past few years, I've gotten the peanut butter stock nuts and frozen them until I needed them, but I noticed last year that there were a lot more skins in the nuts and that led to a bitter flavor in the peanut butter. I spent the last year removing the skins (used a fan and screen over the sink) to improve the flavor.
This time I thought I'd go local with the VA Dry Roasted nuts that were already skinned to make my life a bit easier. They are good...but the flavor is definitely different. I don't know if I got used to the skins (wouldn't that be funny) or if it's really the peanuts, but they have a little less rich flavor.

This was a first-time order for me & I didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed! These peanuts are large & fresh tasting! I used some to make peanut butter with my food processor. I like the unsalted peanuts because I can control the amount of salt I use in the peanut butter. It is also great unsalted, as a snack eaten by the spoonful! I filled a jar with peanuts for snacking & trail mix & froze the rest for later use.

I am very happy with these peanuts! They taste so fresh and it is great to be able to eat or offer to family a healthy treat.

What I really liked about these nuts is the great taste and the reassurance that I am using healthy product to serve to my family.
Cons
What I dislike it the time it took to receive the package and that it was sent USPS which required my driving several times to the post office to pick up my mail. I will probably not going to order again because of this inconvenience.

I ordered these in bulk so I can make my own peanut butter and always have enough on hand. After searching in vain to find a local market that had bulk peanuts that were both UNsalted and DRY roasted, I'm glad I found Superior so now I can get them reliably. Who needs the added salt & oil?? Unsalted, dry roasted peanuts are a truly healthy treat - and the peanut butter is divine!!
